Trying To Stop Panic Attacks

By Ryse Edwards

Do you ever lay in bed at night and think to yourself, I hope that I will experience a panic attack today? Nobody does but sadly, these things do happen and if you do not learn to do something about it, they can quickly take over your life. In an effort to help eliminate anxiety attacks, you should ask your self these five questions...

1. Are you facing too many responsibilities?

Stress is oftentimes the main cause for panic attacks occurring. Putting too much pressure on yourself by taking on too many responsibilities at one time can really take a toll on you. You should try to spread out the amount of responsibilities that you take on. Most often people actually find that they are far more productive at tasks when there is not so much stress and they work more efficiently.

2. Don't be afraid to ask for help?

It is perfectly fine to ask for help once in a while. It does not matter what it is that you need help with... ask. Most friends and family members will help you do just about anything if you simply asked for the help. Do not let your pride stand in your way of asking for a hand. Take some of the weight off of your shoulders and let someone help out.

3. Do you have someone that offers emotional support to you?

Everyone needs emotional support to ensure they are doing OK and are on the right track. It can be difficult to face the constant stresses that arise on a daily basis. This is where it becomes vital you have someone to talk to. In order to stop anxiety attacks from happening to you, find someone that you can lean on when times get tough.

4. Is there fun in your plans?

It does not matter how hectic your schedule gets, it is very important that you take some time out for some fun once in a while. Taking the time to relax and enjoy yourself can help release a great amount of built up pressure or stress from within. It does not matter what you do to find your relaxation, it can be as simple as a walk in the park, just make sure that you do it and get your mind off of things for a while.

5. Are you taking care of your body?

The final question you need to ask yourself in order to stop anxiety attacks from becoming a frequent problem in your life is whether or not you are taking care of your body. This entails getting enough sleep, exercising three to four times a week, eating right, and having some fun. While you certainly need to get your work done, taking care of your body is even more important.
